Web development is appealing to me for several reasons. One reason is that web development is a diverse field. There’s the option of specializing in front-end or back-end development or learning both skillsets. Web developers can also choose what environment they want to work in. There’s the opportunity to freelance or work in small or large companies. It’s also possible to specialize in developing a specific type of website, like websites for the health care industry or food industry.
Another reason is that it’s a career with constant improvement and changes. I think that makes Web development an exciting career and a good option for people that like to learn (which I do!). Updated versions and new standards are commonplace in web development. And it’s incredible to be involved in a field where so many people are involved in improving something and making it better.
Finally, web development has the potential to do a lot of great things for people. Making websites accessible to all people, regardless of ability, is essential to creating a more inclusive world. Educational or informative websites can offer knowledge and opportunities to people. Websites for the healthcare industry can help people better manage their health, more easily connect with their doctors, and make sure that their healthcare information is available to all of the doctors they see.
Web development is a diverse and innovative field. I’m excited to be taking the first steps in a career in web development!
